The agreement between DARS d.d. and EasyGo has already been signed and DARS is working on becoming interoperable within EasyGo.

DARS d.d., which started its operations on 1 January 1994, is responsible for the operation and maintenance of more than 600 kilometers of motorways and expressways across the country.

The tolling system in Slovenia is named DarsGo and includes all vehicles with a maximum permissible weight > 3.5 tonnes. The entire motorway and expressway network with a total length of 618 km (see map above) is divided into 126 tolling sections. Toll is charged separately for each section. The total amount charged is subject to the length of each individual section and vehicle properties, such as number of axles and EURO emission class. The toll is levied by an electronic multilane DSRC free flow tolling system.

DARS d.d. has invited European Service Providers to offer their services in Slovenia. Data exchange between DARS d.d. and these Service Providers will go via the EasyGo HUB. The EasyGo platform makes it possible for heavy goods vehicles to use the same OBE as means of payment at all toll stations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Austria and Slovenia.
